A family day of art, music, theatre and making at the University of Leeds!

Join us for a day of hands-on activities, workshops and performances for under 10s.

play up is a chance for all the family to get involved in music, play and crafts – all in the surroundings of the University of Leeds campus.

Book your free ticket to explore all the drop in activities from 11am-3pm. Tickets for Little Listeners: Mini Magic Flute, The Smalls and The Tale of the Loneliest Whale can be booked below.

Most forms of transport take you right to the University. More information on how to get here.

Weather

Come rain or shine play up will happen! If it rains any event due to take place outside will be moved indoors so please do come along for free indoor activities.

Pushchairs

Our campus is fully accessible so you will find alternative ramp routes to all our venues. If you are coming to see a performance you will need to leave your pushchair outside the auditorium and have your child on a chair or on your lap if they’re under 2. Each venue will have a buggy park where you can leave your pushchair safe.

Baby changing facilities

Baby changing facilities are located in the Leeds Student Union on campus. Look for the baby changing symbol on our map.

Picnics

Picnics are encouraged! In good weather we have plenty of outdoor seating for you to enjoy a picnic and lawns if you’d like to bring a picnic blanket. If it is raining we also have indoor space for you to bring a picnic. We also have water refill stations so please bring your reusable water bottles.

Food & Drink

We have a selection of food outlets available on campus during play up. These include The Yorkshire Pizza Co, the Co-op inside the Student Union and Caffe Nero inside the Laidlaw Library. All food outlets will be shown on the map you receive when you arrive.
