Heritage Open Days

Join us to discover stories of a city and its people, from the 1600s to the present day.

Join us as we throw open our doors to the history of the University as part of Heritage Open Days!
Take part in tours, learn about the history of campus, and discover stories of our city and its people from the 1600s to the present day. From Georgian homes and Victorian families, to fashion archives and the history of healthcare, our programme shines a light on the people, places and stories that have shaped Leeds. Explore historic buildings, hear fascinating talks, discover remarkable collections, and uncover connections between the city’s past and present.
Heritage Open Days, England’s largest festival of history and culture, takes place between 11 – 20 September 2026. For information about Heritage Open Days and other events please visit their website.
